Introduction To Video

What are some advantages of digital video ?
Editing the video becomes easier, you can add sound effects and delete scence aswell as much more to change the video.

What is meant by frame rate in video ?
Frame rate is how many frames there are in one second.
RGD

Are all videos/movies the same frame rate, explain you answer
No, with because high frame rate videos the movement is smooth and quick. While with low frame rate videos the movement of the video is jerky and not smooth

What is meant by resolution, how is it measured
It describes the number of pixels, used to display an image. measured by pixels.

What is the colour system called RGB
It contains the colours red, green, blue and are added together to in different ways to create more of a range of colours.

Explain the video standards PAL, NTSC, and SECAM, what are the main differences between them
PAL: (Phase Alternating Lines) is the analogue video format. PAL describes the way part of the colour information on the video signal is reversed in each phase line.

NTSC: (The National Television Standards Committee) NTSC consists of 29.97  frames per second.

SECAM: (Sequentiel Couleur Avec Mémoire, french for ' Sequential Colour with Memory) is the analogue television system. using 29.97 frames per second

The main differences between them is that each country uses a different system, meaning that each system is incompatible with each other.

Which standard do we use in Australia:PAL

What is an IEEE 1394 port:
This is a high-speed, serial input. output bus for for computer peripherals and consumer electronics, capable of transfer speeds of up to 400 megabits per second. IEEE supports a much higher bandwidth than a USB, allowing to get a high-resolution video camera onto a computer without issues. IEEE 1394 has became a computing standard for high bandwidth. IEEE 1394 is also known as 'FireWire' originating from Apple.
